Sharyland ISD is currently seeking industry professionals to teach our Career and Technical Education program students. The positions we currently have available are as follows:
- Architecture/Construction/Electrical Teacher
- Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent and five years of full-time wage earning experience within the past eight years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered (years of occupational experience is less with an associate or more advanced degree);
- Specialized knowledge in the electrical field is preferred;
- SBEC certification or proof of enrollment in an Educator Preparation Program;
- Potential travel between two high schools
- Health Science Teacher
- Minimum of an associate or more advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
- Current licensure, certification, or registration by a nationally recognized accrediting agency as a health professions practitioner;
- Minimum of two years of full-time wage earning experience using the licensure requirement;
- RN or Pharmacy Technician is preferred;
- SBEC certification or proof of enrollment in an Educator Preparation Program
- Graphic Design/Art Teacher
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
- Occupational work experience is not required, but preferred;
- SBEC certification or proof of enrollment in an Educator Preparation Program
