The Texas Education Agency (TEA) engaged members of the workforce, secondary education, and higher education to advise on the development of the Programs of Study (POS), including coherent sequences of courses, industry-based certifications, and work-based learning to ensure students are prepared for in-demand, high-skill, and high-wage careers in Texas. Students are encouraged to select the Program of Study that best matches their college and/or career goals. In order to be classified as a POS "completer", students need to complete three or more courses for four or more credits within their selected POS, including one advanced-level course.
