How do I apply?
 
All applications for employment must be submitted online. Please gather all materials needed to complete the application in full. You will be given an opportunity to print a copy of your application at the end of the application process.
 
You will need the have the following items ready for reference:

 

  • Social Security Number

  • Driver's License Number

  • Teaching Certificate, if applicable

  • College Transcript, if applicable

  • Dates and Names of Employers for work experience

  • A minimum of five work references (including name and phone number)

  • Resumé available to copy and paste. Your resumé must be copied from a text document. You will not be able to paste PDFs or graphics. You also have the option to type it in directly.

Because SISD is a public entity, our application is considered a public document and is subject to disclosure upon request.
 
Are the online applications secure?
Yes, both the applications, Professional and Paraprofessional, are secure. This is a secure site and all of your personal information will be safeguarded.
 
Which positions require an online application?
Use the online application if you are applying for any position. Use the information below to select the appropriate application for you.
 
Professional Application - Teacher, Counselor, Librarian, RN, or Administrator
Paraprofessional Application - Secretary, Clerk, Aide or other Support Position
 
How do I get more information about the employment process?

As of January 1, 2008, all applicants recommended for employment will be subject to the requirements of Senate Bill 9. This bill is a comprehensive statute requiring various levels of criminal history review for different types of public employees, including:

 

  • All certified educators working in public schools who have not been previously fingerprinted.

  • All non-certified public school employees.

  • All subsitute teachers.

  • School Contractor employees who have direct contact with students.

  • Student teachers and volunteers, with certain exceptions.

As of January 1, 2008, all non-certified employees will be subject to a national criminal history record check and will be required to be fingerprinted through the Department of Public Safety.
